Expert on corporate image and protocol

Isabel Amaral is one of the most renowned Portuguese experts on corporate image, cross cultural communication, and protocol. She has been invited to give lectures in four continents as well as having been a keynote speaker at international congresses in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, France, Argentina, Hungary, France, United Kingdom, Paraguay, Peru, and Russian Federation.

In the last years, she has developed outstanding executive trainings and executive coaching in Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cape Verde, France, Namibia, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Angola, Russian Federation, and the People’s Republic of China.

Holding a master’s degree in international relations (Lisbon University), she has been giving classes at the Portuguese Diplomatic Institute since 1998 and at several universities in Portugal, Spain and Brazil. She is currently a researcher at the Instituto do Oriente (University of Lisbon) and a masterclasses teacher at Protocolbureau, in The Netherlands.

She’s the author of two books in PortugueseImagem e Sucesso and Imagem e internacionalização, as well as being a contributor to Encyclopaedia of International Relations (Leya, D.Quixote) and a co-author of Protocol to Manage Relationships Today (Amsterdam University Press), as well as other Portuguese, Brazilian and Spanish books.

She is the founder of APOREP; the Portuguese Association of Protocol Studies, and was president from 2005 till 2022. She now holds the position of President Emeritus of APOREP.
